Christmas Market Holidays - Europe, Germany and France

I had the pleasure of being in Berlin just before Christmas a few years ago and stumbled on a traditional German Christmas market and it was fantastic. There were craft huts and roast chestnuts galore!

The sights, sounds and atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. The street was bustling with people and I highly recommend booking a Christmas markets holiday.

The thing is that it seems they're more tradtional in Northern Europe than Southern Europe. A couple of years ago I was in Barcelona about two weeks before Christmas and they were only just starting to get going with their Christmas market - trees were being put out and Christmas decoartions being hung out!

So, if you're wanting to visit a Christmas market you can find plenty in this country - but there are many abroad in Germany, France, Belgium, Holland etc.
